Buchi H-506 WJ 230V, 11H5061001
The HydrolEx H-506 WJ (230V, 11H5061001) is a semi-automated acid hydrolysis unit designed for sample preparation prior to total fat determination. It performs regulated acid hydrolysis of up to six samples in parallel, handling sample sizes up to 10 g, and is intended as a complementary system to Soxhlet-style FatExtractors such as the E-500 or UniversalExtractor E-800. The unit uses 4 M hydrochloric acid for compliant hydrolysis workflows and facilitates transfer of hydrolysed material into reusable glass sample tubes for subsequent extraction.
Key Features:
- Model: H-506 WJ, manufacturer part code 11H5061001
- Supply voltage: 230 V (variant WJ)
- Automation degree: semi-automated, processes six samples in parallel
- Maximum sample size: up to 10 g (or 50 mL) per hydrolysis vessel
- Solvent for hydrolysis: 4 M hydrochloric acid
- Designed for integration with FatExtractor E-500 and UniversalExtractor E-800
Advantages:
- Ensures method-compliant acid hydrolysis for standardized total fat determination (Weibull‑Stoldt, AOAC).
- Smooth and ergonomic handling via a lift device for regulated rack movement and specialized rinsing funnels for efficient transfer.
- Enhanced safety through durable FKM sealings and convenient hydrolysate transfer that minimizes operator exposure.
- Fast, parallel filtration and optimized glass parts enable complete sample transfer and high recoveries.
