Buchi K-436 12x250ml TG 1154362400
SpeedDigester K-436 is an infrared Kjeldahl digestion/mineralization unit designed to perform wet oxidation and Kjeldahl sample digestion for subsequent nitrogen, protein, COD and metal analyses. The instrument processes up to twelve samples simultaneously using 250 ml sample tubes and integrates fast heat transfer from IR heaters plus controlled addition of H2O2 to accelerate mineralization. Typical applications include Kjeldahl protein/total nitrogen, COD, heavy metal digestion and sample preparation for AAS, ICP and other analytical methods.
Key Features:
- Capacity: 12 sample positions
- Sample tube volume: 250 ml per position
- Heating: infrared (IR) rapid heat transfer to samples
- Temperature range: up to 450 °C with ±1 °C control accuracy
- Compatibility: supports Kjeldahl, micro‑Kjeldahl, COD and aqua regia/sample destruction workflows
Advantages:
- High throughput: simultaneous processing of 12 samples reduces total digestion time
- Fast, uniform heating: infrared heaters provide rapid temperature ramp and efficient heat transfer to samples
- Process acceleration: controlled continuous addition of H2O2 shortens mineralization time
- Versatile workflows: suitable for Kjeldahl protein/nitrogen analysis, COD and various digestion applications
- Safety and fume control: designed to be used with neutralization/scrubber modules to reduce hazardous emissions
