Buchi K-436 12x300ml KB 1154362200
The SpeedDigester K-436 is an infrared (IR) laboratory digestion system for chemical sample digestion, designed to perform Kjeldahl and reflux digestions and other reflux-based procedures such as COD and aqua regia. It processes up to 12 samples in 300 ml sample tubes and delivers fast heating and quick cool-down to shorten digestion times while allowing individual control of the two heating chambers. Primary use cases include Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen (TKN), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), heavy metal and phosphate digestion workflows.
Key Features:
- Capacity: 12 sample positions (12×300 mL sample tubes)
- Maximum temperature: 580 °C
- Compatible sample tube volumes: 100 mL, 300 mL, 500 mL (300 mL used for this configuration)
- Individual control of each heating chamber
- Continuous addition of H2O2 through capillary funnels for accelerated digestion
Advantages:
- Higher throughput from fast infrared heat transfer and rapid cool-down, reducing overall digestion time
- Flexible operation: supports Kjeldahl and reflux digestion methods and multiple sample tube sizes
- Improved safety through sealed suction modules for efficient removal of harmful fumes
- Convenient handling with drip tray and rack storage in cooling position for safe bench use
