Buchi Packaging K-446/449 11650068
KjelDigester K-446 / K-449 (11650068) is a block digestion system for Kjeldahl sample preparation that performs fast and safe digestion of up to 20 samples simultaneously. The instrument delivers digestion for Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen, total volatile basic nitrogen, nitrate and nitrite and is designed to accelerate heating and cooling steps to shorten overall digestion time by up to two hours. The K-449 provides automated lift and programmability for unattended operation while the K-446 offers manual rack handling and manual control.
Key Features:
- Models: K-446 (manual) and K-449 (automatic lift and programmable).
- Maximum temperature: 450 °C.
- Temperature control range: 30 - 450 °C.
- Sample positions: 20.
- Sample parameters: Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen, total volatile basic nitrogen, nitrate, nitrite.
- Condensate trap for liquid samples: optional.
Advantages:
- Reduces digestion cycle time by accelerating heating and cooling steps, saving up to two hours per run.
- Enables higher throughput and direct transfer of the 20-position rack to KjelSampler systems for automated nitrogen and protein determination.
- Automatic lift (K-449) and programmability allow unattended operation and reduced operator intervention.
- Individual sealing of each sample tube and magnetic suction-module attachment improve safe removal and effective transfer of acidic vapors to a scrubber.
