Petrifilm Staphylococcus aureus Express Disk is a confirmation disk designed to distinguish Staphylococcus aureus from suspect colonies obtained on Petrifilm Staph Express Count Plates. The disk provides biochemical confirmation in a rapid timeframe (0.5–3 hours) and is used when background flora exists in Staphylococcus testing. The disk is packaged separately from the Petrifilm Staph Express Count Plate and can be used with the Petrifilm Plate Reader Advanced for consistent, fast, automated reading and recording of results.
