The Direct Yeast and Mold vial is a ready-to-use 9 mL test vial for rapid detection of yeast and mold in a wide variety of food, nutraceutical and personal care/cosmetic products. Growth of yeast and mold in the vial produces CO2 that diffuses through a membrane into a soft agar plug containing an indicator dye; the instrument reads the resulting color change to indicate presence or absence. The vial includes selectivity agent chloramphenicol and is intended for use with the Soleris rapid microbial testing system.
